sinner: last confession

God, forgive my trespasses,
Your holy call leads me here.
Wreary feet, unwashed sins,
I lie weak beneath your supremacy.

God, to give my peace,
despite all deeds,
I made none to breathe good,
I fear this foul body may stain forever.

I will ask not for love,
as I have show none.
I will ask not for mercy,
as I left other lives undone.

I ask not for redemption,
as I’ve strayed too far,
I ask not for pity,
as that’s what I most despise for.

I ask for the last breath,
from this rotten body
to take in Your Holy light,
before the raven calls –
for me to the other end,
might I lastly experience peace,
from the light you send.

  1. I’m not sure where you are getting your info, but good topic. I needs to spend some time learning much more or understanding more. Thanks for excellent information I was looking for this information for my mission.

    • Hi, I don’t quite understand by what you meant by “info” haha, but thank you for reading. The words for this piece breathed to me when I was with a friend, sitting quietly in the church for peace and tranquility. I hope you’ll be able to find the understanding you’re looking for. 🙂
