花火如火花

It was beautiful.

What we had.

And all those who agreed

Still questions why it didn’t last.

Of passion we gave sparks,

Of love we truly cared.

In security we embraced,

In conversations we were everywhere.

But there’s always an end

To all good and bad.

We had our differences;

Hence ambition drew us to leave what we had.

Still

I would forever appreciate.

When I recall vividly,

My heart’s ablaze with your love once stayed.

*note: 花火 (hanabi, Japanese) means fireworks & 火花 (huo hua, Chinese) means spark.*
